Re: Gas Cooker Instalation

We charge £65 for the fit and the necessary safety checks, if you need a safety chain(regulation) is extra £15, the hose and bayonet if required are extra £18. Accywebbers receive 10% discount.

It takes roughly an hour plus travelling to install a cooker and perform the gas checks and test the safety cut outs etc phil. If there is an old one to remove, a licence is required to carry it to our skip, so if it is cheap, there is going to be something illegal or irregular about it.

Even if it's being sold for scrap?

If you can get anything for it as scrap, good on you, we usually leave them by the skip and some certain individuals call daily and pick them up, if we take them to scrap yards, we get nothing for them, presumably, if you have ten of them you would get paid something, I beleive its now around £40 per tonne.

That's got to be six items monthly, or it was the last I heard. Have already had twice that amount of bulky items removed this year.
