Out of curiosity what model are they?
I have a broken pair of ghd SS2 which I am trying to fix. They have wide plates and one of the arms has snapped. If I can find someone selling a broken pair on ebay ‘which they do’ I’ll let you have the wire from it if yours are the same as these.  |

if they are a MK4 set then you have a 24month warrenty on them, if not i would buy a new set or some cheap ones till you can afford a new set

Just had a look at the model jackyalex and it's 3.1b. So no luck there.
Sounds like they're different ones Len, the plates aren't that wide. Have found someone on the net, who charges £18. Got the name from a forum site, and he has had some decent reviews. Thanks to everyone.
