Re: ghosts

I'm glad you mentioned this subject. There has been lots of strange goings on in Bailey's over the past few days.

On Friday night, a large pan was thrown out of the top floor window. Nobody was in the flat at the time & the police searched the building.

Also on Friday night, i had to check the fire escape corridoor at the back of the building, when i heard two men talking. I did a complete check, but, nobody was there.

On Sunday night, just as the barman was locking up, the white pool ball shot across the table. Nobody had been near it for 15 minutes.

On Monday morning, the assistant manager was in the office, when he heard female footsteps (high-heels) walking through the bar. He checked the bar, nobody was there & there doors were locked. He was the only person in the building.

Last night, the assistant manager & myself locked the pub & sat down watching tv with a beer. An hour later, we were about to go home & had to turn the tv off. The remote control had been left on the bar, but had gone when we wanted to turn the tv off. Again there was nobody else there.

Taps have turned on by themselves, the doors (including fire doors) open on their own, & i've seen a woman stood on the staircase in the early hours of the morning.

Just had a message from the assistant manager. He say's that he found the remote control this morning on the floor under one of the sofa's (5' away from their original location). There has been a few glasses smashed behind the bar, when nobody has been near them.

Very Strange.

You've got squatters hiding in the attic. Check your pies and your beer stocks.

Re: ghosts

I don't frequent such establishments, but does not Bailey's occupy the same building which had the shop fire in about 1906, when 6 women and children died in the rush to escape...or summat like that? It was a big disaster in Accy at the time...I think there are possible links to pictures of the aftermath of the fire and the story on here, somewhere.

Re: ghosts

I don't believe in ghosts.

I Google imaged the word ghosts and came across this site.

Check out the photographs of 'real' ghosts.

I still don't believe in ghosts.

St James grave yard across the road , the fire may well be the cause of the problem.

Re: ghosts

You could try putting a 'clocking in' card for the alleged ghost, if it turns up for a wage, sack it!
