Re: going asda?

It's not as bad as it looks. We have just been and I think the problem was probably caused by numpties who can't park and taxi drivers blocking the roads

Re: going asda?

I passed asda on my way to work at 7.30am, there were at least 50 cars in the car park, and at least another 10 on the way in while I was at the lights, I can't believe that people still fill 2 trolleys for christmas, and another at new year when the place is only closed for a matter of hours in between!

Re: going asda?

I had an Asda delivery yesterday -don't normally have Sunday delivery because it costs more - but had an email (voucher code) offering delivery free

They were numpties - 3 mistakes on the order - managed to argue for a £2.50 refund in a long 0845 phone call.

Much prefer Tesco home deliveries - they have it down to a fine art (have been doing it for longer)

Re: going asda?

i dont like the idea of home delivery, iv got im in my head that they dont give you the freshest stuff, and give ya stuff thats nearly out of date, wheres when i go myself i pick the stuff from the back of the shelf, ......but i could be wrong!

Due to time issues, and kids, I always shop online for home delivery, they do sometimes give you stuff with short sell by dates, but, most supermarkets send stuff (usually frozen), back for repacking and relabelling, I have a family member works for a firm that does it for them, they don't like doing it, but daren't speak out for fear of losing the job.

Re: going asda?

If I had been supplied out of date stuff, that would have been reason to request a refund. Neither of the two supermarkets argue about refunds - the reason why yesterday's call was long was, I suspect, due to an ASIAN call centre for Asda - like talking to Peter Sellers playing doctor
