Re: good cheap local tv repairs, anyone recommend any?
I don't understand why a retailer would consider replacing something that is outside of the 12 month warranty. If the TV has the standard 12 month warranty, you are now 9 months beyond that date. Am I missing something somewhere?

Re: good cheap local tv repairs, anyone recommend any?
i went on a legal forum and there is an act somewhere that says that items should be fit for purpose for a reasonable amount of time, the forum suggested around 5 years for a tv. its worth a chance anyway!

It is the way we are conditioned to think and I would have thought the same if I hadn't seen consumer programmes on TV that proved it was possibly to get a refund or replacement even when the warranty had run out.
