Re: Good Chiropodist?
Now she is over 60 she may qualify for FREE Nhs chiropody at the A corn Centre (I do). Referral via doc.
I remember being on a waiting list for a couple of months before I got my 1st appointment, so it doesn't solve her current need, but worth trying for the future.

Re: Good Chiropodist?
You can go to the Acorn Centre for free, as Margaret said, but for a more thorough going over of your tootsies the Warner Street Clinic is very good too.

Ann Starkey used to be my chiropodist a few years ago, when she was with the NHS (think she may still be) I have home visit from the Acorn Centre now, I used to go to Ossy Clinic when I was mobile

They're really good, especially Mrs Starkie, as Jaysay said.
She'll come out like she's walking on air.

I was pleased to here that Ann was recovering from what was a life threatening accident some time ago, think she was kicked by a horse or something, but I believe she was very lucky

Re: Good Chiropodist?
if you need a quick fix...
A shop called Shuropody opened in Ossy Mills not too long ago which I visited a couple of times. The shop bit is now closed but the Chiropodist has gone self employed and rents a room there. I think you can get in contact with her from the main desk at Ossy Mills or you can email, [email protected] .
Last time I went it cost me £20.

Re: Good Chiropodist?
The thought of someone touching me feet makes me cringe, how can anyone have that job as a profession?, the sheer thought makes me feel like someone has just walked over me grave!!......hate feet!!

Some people's brains are in their feet though .... no names mentioned like
'Course know about the obvious things like:-
- Athletes' foot
- Ingrowing toe nails
- Bunions
- Thicker toenails, difficult to cut, as you grow older (usually caused by past fungal infections).
- Injuries
- Corns ... is this still the most common complaint these days ? Legacy of wearing poorly fitted shoes, would think that with all the knowledge available, and people being able to afford more than one pair of shoes they would have lessened ?
OK ... know they won't do your nail varnish ...
