Re: Good Grub?
Have you tried the Cantonesse at Guide across from George IV. Been a while since I last went but it was very good.

Re: Good Grub?
Never been, but have always heard good things about the Mongolian Restaurant on Blackburn Rd., West End in Ossy.
I'm always loathed to recommend places. I told Neil and Romps to go somewhere I'd recently been and had great food, but they had a terrible time.

Re: Good Grub?
i know what you mean garinda about you liking sonething and other people thinking it rubbish!!!!
Thing is, my hubby will eat anything put in front of him and will usually polish off my leftovers so where we go needs to serve substantial portions! Not like they used to serve at Callums, pay a fortune and come out starving!!
Looking out the window now though, I feel like just curling up in front of the fire and watching a good movie.

Re: Good Grub?
Might be wise, it's bloody foul outside and forecast to be like this all day and night.
Whatever you do have a good time.

My M.I.L lives in west End and the Mongolian restaurant is always very busy, but I have never been.

Sherbert dip I forgot about that when last down. I have been at a Mongolian restaurant and loved the food.

In that case you'll be fine at the Mongolian. You can eat as much as you want. I recommend that you only go for small portions so that you can go back two or three times.

Re: Good Grub?
Why don't you go for a decent english meal.
I recomend fish and chips with loads of salt and vinegar, eaten in the car of course, in a far away place.
