Northcote Manor is fully booked dispite my remonstrations with Mr. Haworth haha. However come on you gastronomes your help would be appreciated Clitheroe/ Whalley area, or any other suggestions would be thankfully receieved. Many thanks for your help in anticipation. Re: Good pub grub ?

There are several in the Ribble Valley.

Bailey Arms in Hurst Green,

Red Pump at Bashall Eaves,

Calves Head at Worston,

Parker's Arms at Newton,

The Shireburn at Hurst Green.

All of these places are excellent. Eat out regularly in the Ribble Valley and have never had to book at any of these.

Freemasons, Wiswell, near Whalley.

Imaginative menu.

Good cellar.

Friendly, unobtrusive service.

Quiet, attractive location.

Freemasons Country Inn

The Three Fishes, Mitton Village, one of Mr Haworth's rather good.
I would have agreed with the Calf's Head, but the last time I was there the veg was tinned, pea's and carrots, sorry.
