good touring sites

Right hubby and i have just started going out and about with the caravan in last couple of months ,Now we only been to a couple of sites upto now both quite different ,1 nr settle being quiet, relaxing and was ok for first time .would go again for unwinding weekend . and 2 being stanwix park up on the solway coast, must admit feel a bit spoilt now with that one because it has everything on site so much so we are off back there next weekend for our final fling before we put the caravan to bed for the winter.

What i would like to know though is are there anymore caravan enthusiasts out there that can give ideas on good sites for next year ?

PLEASE NOT BLACKPOOL lol

We are hoping to get down devon / corwall for a full holiday ie 2weeks , but im looking for ideal weekend retreats .. The reason im asking now is so i can check out any suggestion and make a note on the ones we may vist

I love the Cumbrian coast, the bits were all the Beatrix Potter tourists don't go to.

There are some touring caravan sites near Haverigg.

It's wild, windswept and beautiful.

Places to visit, Walney Island nature reserve, and Muncaster castle.

Horton in Ribblesdale, beneath the mighty “but stout” Pen “y” gent.

Please be kind and try and stay off the M6, M6o, M61, M62, M65 and any road with a white stripe down the middle.
