Hidden bits of Accyweb?

I was looking at 'Who's on line' a little while ago and a guest was on a 'Nostalgia ain't what it used to be' thread which I didn't remember so I opened it.
It was from 2003 and in a totally different format than the current one, all black no colour.Different headers.
I had a good read and came out of it. Now I can't find it, even though I can go back to 2003 it's all in the current format.
Is there a hidden store of Accyweb threads? If so how can we access it?

It is not uncommon for people to dream in black & white.

Re: Hidden bits of Accyweb?

No, cashman, it was late this afternoon. It had an old fashioned look to it like it could be the original website.
Once I lost it the guest was no longer on it and I couldn't get it back although I went back to 2003- the format is all as it is now.
Does my description match Accyweb as it originally was? I think there was a fancy crest at the top left hand side. Each post had a black line all round it.

Careful, Bob, or I'll give you same red karma and knock your 'rep power' down.

And I'll 'unlike' you!

When a post is deleted it is soft deleted and stays where it was but only mods can see it like in the attached picture. It shows the index with some deleted spam threads. This allows us to bring a post back if it was deleted by mistake. They can be permanently deleted but we don't usually do that.

Re: Hidden bits of Accyweb?

So Neil, what was I seeing? Had a 'guest' got access into old soft deleted threads which were still in an old format?

From what I remember the only other colour the site has had is blue, changed to red on an update sometime after the Stanley forum was added.
As for a crest, I think at one time the town's crest used to be on the front page.
What you saw I don't know, perhaps Roy might be able to explain sometime?

No guests can't see it. I think you were looking at the archive view not the main forum view. Was it like this

Re: Hidden bits of Accyweb?

Neil, that first page with the listing in blue was one of the pages I saw.
However, even if you log into the oldest entry(The war with Iraq, 26/03/2003) it's still in the current format.
The threads/posts I saw(caz was one of the posters) had a very amateurish, old look like some of the more basic forums you can access.
Strange!
