Re: hospitals forgetting to operate?
Luckily I've only ever had two minor ops which needed pre op assessment, when I ha both cataracts done about 7 years ago, had both ops within 2 weeks of the pre ops. Thirteen weeks is ridiculous Shaz, its obvious your paperwork has been put in the wrong tray Give um some pain lass

Re: hospitals forgetting to operate?
i rang the fracture clinic at the RB at 9 this morning, they put me through to admissions where i got an answer machine, left my name, number and patient number and the reason i was ringing, lets see how many weeks it takes them to get back to me now

Re: hospitals forgetting to operate?
just had someone ring me, she said the lady that did my pre-op shouldn't have told me it would be 2 weeks, all she should have said to me was 'you will have to wait for a letter'
i now have to ring Burnley

Re: hospitals forgetting to operate?
I went to Rossendale Hospital in 1999 to see a Consultant about an op on my upper arm and shoulder and he agreed to operate.
Eleven years later I still have no date for the op and have given up hope but the problem has slowly gone away so maybe it was a good thing I didn't get the op.
I went again today with my wife to see the chest specialist about her asthma and was told the hospital is closing at the end of August.
I hope they take her case notes wherever she finishes up.
