Try a juicer - less effort needed to eat lots of fruit and veg this way

I buy organic and free range whenever it is available, despite the extra cost.
I consider it wiser to eat less of the good stuff rather than get overfull on junk..
I have the time to cook using wholesome ingredients.
I make my own bread, biscuits and yogurt.

On my last grocery order I used Sainsburys and got some free samples of snack foods. I tried them YUK!! -Walkers Wheaty snack and oven baked crisps - both tasted very artificial and stuck to the roof of my mouth - I don't understand why people pay good money for cardboard junk food.
Margaret .. do you put down squares of paper to walk around yer' flat ?.. Howard Hughes comes to mind.. xx

Re: How healthy are you?

Those oven baked crisps are vile, taste like cardboard. Not that I eat cardboard like. well i did when I was a kid I suppose.

Anyway I eat far too many cakes and biscuits and junk food. But then I do try to eat fruit n veg too. Still getting a lil tum on me though.
I'm a sweet person rather than a savoury person.

LOL no - I think you are influenced by my avatar - In Last of the Summer wine, Thora Hird used them to keep her mechanic husband in line.

I have an old black tomcat with aloplecia, and pale carpets, I find that a Dyson Animal machine is enough, plus 2 absorbent cotton doormats for visitors

Re: How healthy are you?

I like to think I am fairly healthy
I have a very physical job which keeps me fit no end, I dont drink much if any, dont eat much take away if any, dont eat much chocolates or such like junk foods, I enjoy my fruit and veg too much if anything, we tend to eat home made meals as opposed to ready meals that are full of too much salt and sugars,
and if I am honest on the rare occasion that I do have a take away I feel guilty after eating it cos I know its full of rubbish...
my only bad habit is too much white bread - which I am working on...

Re: How healthy are you?

totally unhealthy

eat sweeties, smoke, eat fast food, eat meals out of plastic cartons, dont make it from scratch not often anyway every so often when feeling guilty i'll buy a salad bag from asda and stick with a burger or a salmon fillet or lamb steak but basically im an unhealthy person - but over the last two years ive managed to lose weight so i must be doing something right. By the way not all the time but most of the time i buy white bread.

Re: How healthy are you?

I do my best. I eat plenty of fruit and veg, wholemeal bread, no ready meals, no fizzy drinks, no fatty puddings, no sweets, no crisps. Same goes for my children. The way I look at it, my children are only very young and I am just trying to start them off on the right path. I know that as they get older they will be offered these things at parties etc. but for now, I have control.
