Try this for size
www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/downloads/Council_agenda_020612.pdf
PS would have been useful to give a little more idea of what you wanted to know in thread title.

Thank you, glad to help and it's nice to get a thanks now and again.
Yes, good views from Morecambe, we live a bit closer into town, just behind the prom near the Town Hall.

If you mean the roundabout on the front by the Town Hall and what is now Gala Bingo on the corner, there is a pub just off the front on the right on Lord Street called the Morecambe Hotel. It's quite big, lots of letting bedrooms which they don't use, and has been through about five or six changes of tenancy and ownership in the five years we've been here, as well as periods of closure. Has no character or decent ale, but they do have a pool table

No susie this pub was in Bare not in Morecambe itself in those days it was a new pub think it was a Whitbread house but not sure had a sloping tiled roof, think the roundabout was actually called Bare roundabout

Perhaps you mean this one John, it's a fair way off the front at the inshore end of the Broadway. There aren't that many roundabouts in Morecambe/Bare - everyone I know calls this the Shrimp Roundabout!

Haha I see Royboy's beaten me to it! Don't think it's Thwaites now though.

I took stock there in the early seventies, The landlord was the biggest Irishman I've ever seen. I worked for Thwaites at the time.

Defo still the Shrimp, never been in, more emphasis on food rather than beer as it's now a Toby carvery so not Thwaites. Probably got a range of beers though don't know if any real ale, my tipple.
PS perhaps we should apologise to Churchkirk for hijacking this thread though I think it served its purpose for him/her.
