Instead of Bottled water in venice ....

you will get a bottle and a map of 122 fountains where you can fill the bottle up.

Would you drink water out of a fountain? Thats what the Italians want you to do.

Option 3 for me, if it looks ok then why not, anyway i don`t fancy Venice so the likelyhood of it affecting me is zero, now if that applied in accy.........

I would have no problems with that.....There are several fountains (Not the ones you splash about in when drunk) in Spain they are called fonts, a water system that comes from the mountains, Pure, clean and very drinkable. In Italy I was fortunate enough to visit a wine producing company who export millions of gallons of pure water all over the world as well as wine. The company owns six 'Fonts' in a town called Bardolino on the shores of Lake Garda.
I wouln't drink out of the one in Trafalgar Square if you paid me in diamonds.

If they are drinking fountains then why not?

I remember when we were always advised not to drink the local water when going abroad.

I also remember when we used to have public drinking fountains over here. Life was nicer then. There are a few remnants but all sealed up and not working. Even those are gradually being removed/destroyed. It's such a shame. As a child I used to drink water, it came free. Nowadays kids drink cans of coke and apart from it not being healthy it also costs money and creates waste.

There was a feminist once who complained over the use of RON in elections and wanted it to be given a gender-free name. Some people are crazy, and I assume you aren't willow so I shall see this as intended humour

Notice though its not on their website that theyre giving away the free water bottles .... wonder why? If theyre all that bothered about recycling etc you would have thought they would have put it on there to reach more people.
