Re: is accyweb dying?
Kate I think the site thrives anyway, because of the nature of the people and the characters that come on here regularly....and post regularly.
Hedman doesn't seem to have contributed much in the way of posts.....so if we were all like him then the site would be long gone.

Of course it thrives due to us regular posters, but now and then someone who has taken a back seat does do a controversial post (not a new point, by the way) and has been addressed as in the past, however, he has made his first decent post of what he sees as constructive criticism ... hope it is not his last. Could have another Tealeaf in the making ...

Re: is accyweb dying?
Just when I thought I was out .... They pull me back in ! (Michael Corleone Godfather 3) That's about the way of it on here my friend, it adds to the rich & varied tapestry that is AccyWeb There's more than enough seriousness & depressing incidents in the big wide world, so a little light merriment & mirth on here can't be all that bad surely ??? The occasional digression as Marge P says is good for variety & well, someone will always bring her (The thread) back around again to her correct heading, "All aboard the Skylark" (Is that the sort of meander you're on about ?? ).

Re: is accyweb dying?
It has help a few of us orginise a little venture out tommorow night so I would say its still going along nicely. It is having an afternoon nap so to speak. As mentioned something that becomes common place is ignored. The wacky baccy factory might affect supplies for crimbo and prices will rise so expect a rise in muggings and burgary so they can afford a "smoke."

I also visit Rossendale Web, thats a good site, nearly as many posters as Accy Web, they have a cracking joke page and you can post what you want on it as long as its a joke, many are crude and some on here can be a bit prudish, but what the eck a joke is intended to amuse.
Some of the posts on Ross Web have as many as 1000 or more responces.

Less threads regarding violent incidents in the area.
Less threads started in General Chat, swanking about buying one's self expensive trinkets.

Re: is accyweb dying?
I blame the Mafia, and their closed shop policy. Which prevents anyone at all from joining this forum, and posting whatever the hell they want to, within the confines of the rules.
It's an outrage.
Worse than Political Correctness going mad.
