Is there a Starbuck's in Accrington?
I don't seek an answer to suit my coffee-drinking, but a mate is keen on the stuff they sell at enormous expense and might visit the town if there is one. If there is one - where is it?

The only one I am aware of is at the College where I work but it's only open to staff and students unfortunately

Re: Is there a Starbuck's in Accrington?
Is that you Cashy, or is it an Imposter? The real Cashy would have said where the shop is. (No wonder you looked full of beans when I last saw you)

I've never been, but it has been recommended a lot on this forum.
I believe it is on the corner opposite the main Post Office

No Starbucks in Accy......we have Costa Coffee and Imposta.
Imposta is, in my opinion better than Costa.......and it is right across form the GPO on Abbey Street. Well worth a visit.

If your bud should ever visit Kingston, we have 8 Starbucks in the city ... two of them in bookstores.
Here endeth more useless info from the colonies
Oh, and 18 Tim Hortons ... cheaper and better ... Canucks love their Timmys so much that there was even one in Kandahar for the Canadian troops

May I be the first to thank our Colonial 'Bee' for that most informative post.

Re: Is there a Starbuck's in Accrington?
We have 2 Starbucks franchises on the site I work.... ( They brew Starbucks coffee rather than being full fat Starby's ) the number of people who pay a fortune for them is insane, my colleague and I buy decent coffee beans from hasbean, grumpymule and others. We shared at a grinder and brew a full cafetierre for about 30p a pot. nicer coffee and a shed loads cheaper!

Why would someone just visit a town to go to a coffee shop, one Starbucks is the same as any other Starbucks. Or is the said friend rating each Starbucks shop in as many towns as possible? If your friend wants to come to Accy I would have thought it would be to pay
you a visit, or maybe see some of the sites we have to offer, ie Haworth Art Gallery, the rubbish market hall, or maybe the war memorial etc.
