Is there a way to find out..........

who has previously lived in my house. The reason which I want to look into this as I (and others) have experienced a few strange, unexplainable things in my home. Not saying that they are supernatural just seem very strange and a bit un-nerving at times (not for me, for someone else)

I know this probably seems really strange and far fetched but maybe one of you out there can help me

You can search the census website to see who lived in your house previously.

However, the most recent census available to the public is the 1901 census.....not much good if you want to see who lived there more recently.

I don't know if there are any other more recent records available to view.

You can go to the library and look through the voting registers. If you know what year you moved in that can be a start - you have to look year by year but it's easy once you get into the swing of it.

I know the woman who previously lived in my home....her son often stood at my windows peering in at what we were doing a few months after i moved in (he was only about 9) and she has turned up at my door on various occasions lmao and i know who lived here before that......our very own panther

But i reckon Gayle's idea is your best bet x

Apart from the ideas above the only one I can think to add is to take up any floorboards and see if you recognise any of the skeletons

There aren't very many houses about that no-one has ever died in.
Violence that ocurred in the past can blight a house with 'bad vibes'.
If you seriously think you may be haunted, in your place, I would ask your landlord who were the last tenants, making an excuse that you have mail for them and such like. Then you can approach them to ask if they have had similar experience, and who was the tenant before them - they might know.

It may be possible to obtain a copy of the Deeds but it may well be costly. It should however list all previous owners.

just before emzy got that house it was in the news that a guy had died in one of those houses..... i joked at the time that it was hers

I know somebody was murdered where we live!
It was at Xmas time and sadly he was murdered because he was gay.
I'm always wary at xmas,being alone at night,don't know if he haunts here but you never know!
