kitchen worktop

Got a matted black/grey kitchen worktop, with a massive scratch in it. Anybody got any ideas how to repair this or at least cover it up. Thanks.

There is some coloured filler available for this. I chipped my worktop and it works ok.
You just spread it over the scratch, wait for it to dry, then remove the excess with acetone, (nail varnish remover).
Hope this helps.

PS You should be able to buy it from Homebase. I got mine from S & H Kitchens on Abbey St, Accrington.

How about a photo, just so we can judge how bad the damage is.

Re: kitchen worktop

I'd be wary of doing that because it may stop the filler sticking when you come to do it properly.

I did say temporary! Wax will melt with boiling water & clean it out at the same time. Obviously exercise extreme care with the hot water.
