looking for pictures of The Embassy Ballroom, Welling

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine who is writing his bio. about being brought up in Welling is looking for some pictures of The old Embassy Ballroom, which has since been demolished. There are pictures on this board of a "Ballroom" but no mention of Welling. Are these pics of the same place?

He played in a band back in the 60's, and quite often played there.

Any help much appreciated.

And as you can probably tell, I have absolutely no idea of the area

Thing is there was quite a few Embassy Ballrooms, scattered around the country, seemed to be a national set up, the one your after in Welling, no photos of that one on here that i'm aware of.

Was called the Embassy Rooms then .... can see the word 'Dancing'. Was it the same place ?

Thanks heaps for the picture. I have no idea what I'm looking at, so I've passed it onto my friend who lived there back in the 60's. He'll be over the moon if it's the right one!

Thanks, & yeah I did try to email them, but all the emails bounced back, so I'm guessing maybe some bigger company has taken ownership, and are just waiting for the domain to expire before it disappears. Thanks anyway.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I managed to track down a site who sent me some outside shots, but it seems no one has any from the inside. Poor building... seems to be forgotten. Anyway thanks once again.

The Photo kate put on,looks very promising to me, some did look similar to that, yer mate should recognise hopefully.

If you are still around, I would be delighted to see these pics. I spent many happy evenings dancing at the Embassy.

Let's clarify matters. This pic was not taken in Accrington , or even Hyndburn.
