Not yet Ian. There was an article in yesterdays Telegraph, it was supposed to reopen this week, but the work has turned out to be more complicated, and could take several more weeks.

Re: Lottice Lane re-opened?

thanks gents!

it would be good if there was some sort of signage on the 65 that let people know as they approach guide so they can make an informed decision but hey, that would be common sense and we know how much of that there is about nowadays....

Re: Lottice Lane re-opened?

It would be good if the sign that said the road would be closed for 1 week had been true, must be 3 weeks now and the end next to the roundabout has a container on it and a load of concrete pipe type things so it looks like it wont be open soon.

That sign that said 1 week does not give any clues as to when it will open again - very poor of LCC

Re: Lottice Lane re-opened?

The Extension of the Traffic Order is on page 33 of "Accrington Observer" 30th November. It says till Sunday 31st March 2013 "to allow the safe investigation and repair/replacement of a collapsed highway drain". I've been told that it may possibly re-open for Christmas but will have to close again sometime before the end of March for resurfacing works.
