A mate of mine as just told me he's seen a new Mini Cooper parked in accy with the reg AC10 WEB, must be an Accy Web member

Nice one Jaysay ... except the first two letters 'AC' does indicate it was registered in Anglia... 10 - March to August this year.

Maybe so but you can now buy a registration from DVLA after picking your choice. That's if they are available. It's £250 for registrations up to the last current one and a bit more for the latest. If it is special then it can be hundreds of pounds but the one above will be about £450.

Mine is my initials followed by a year code and short version of my name.

I have no idea which area it denotes but it won't be local.

I originally picked one which spelt my name, if you count 55 as SS and it went to auction for 60 grand.
I had offered £250 as it was bought for my 70th birthday.

My Granddaughter did the same Gremlin, think her's were about £300
