Warmden Brook comes down from Broad Oak, under Manchester Rd near the old Fire Station, flows down Grange Lane, & passes under Cross St. Woodnook Water as its name implies was visible behind where the Old Baths were in St James St, flows down the Church St area, underneath what used to be Barnes's furniture, and joins the Warmden at the Junction of Cross St, from there it is the Hyndburn, which is culverted under Cross St, then down Duke St Back, under little Blackburn Rd, then it bears left & goes towards Broadway, eventually showing it self again near Bull Bridge.
