Re: new inns.....ossy
No the one up Fielding lane hasnt been pulled down its a house. Not the big one opposite next one up.When I was Taxiing I picked an elderly lady up who lived there and she showed me where they used to drop the barrels,it still has the drop and that old fashioned metal pully thing to lower them down with in her garden. The actual building if I remember rightly is called York Cottage now.

Tried it for first time when I just turned 18 , supping gills of bitter (a right of passage for apprentices from Rothwells on Bridge st. in Church) made it to the Tinker & Budget , then they threw my drunken ass on the 227 bus back to Gt. Arrod , tried it again on my bachelor/stag do at 20, doing pints , got as far as the Irish league .......same bus trip home ..........

Re: new inns.....ossy
Its been up for ages. They've only put the board up recently. Its up for £75,000 freehold & contents. But I believe that has dropped from about £90,000.
