Did they leave of their own accord or were they evicted due to their nuisance behaviour?

Re: nuisance neighbours

I send you all my sympathy Mez. Losing sleep can make us oldies feel 'off' for several days, and in your case it happens every 7, so it impacts your life in a way that they don't realise.(or perhaps don't care about)

There is no way of avoiding noise nuisance totally unless you move to a hut on the moors or are rich enough to buy a retirement home in a gated old persons community

I thought I was blessed to live on the very edge of town, away from traffic, and have reasonably quiet neighbours, but last night I was disturbed at 2 am and again at 3 am by small groups of young people walking past laughing and talking loudly. I am used to total night silence so any noise wakes me. I need to look out to check that there has not been arson on the allotments (usually happens at least once a year)
They were not drunk and carrying bottles, as used to be the case only a couple of years ago, so the police seem to have gained some control of young anti social behavour around here. There must have been a party nearby and they were taking a shortcut home across the field and the allotment paths. So some poor soul living next door to a party got it much worse than me

The result for me is that I am not having a day out at the coast as planned. So just a little thoughtlessnes on their part has spoilt my day a little, - but my little disturbance is 'small fry' compared with yours

It would be lovely if people were more considerate and less selfish.

Re: nuisance neighbours

Thought I'd use this thread as I couldn't find one about this particular topic.
It's just been on the NW news about the 'young lady' from Rishton who's just been put into prison for the playing of loud music! Was in the Observer last week so it must be a veerrrrrrrrryyyyyy slow news day
