Re: Old Games ..Monopoly....Scrabble...etc
Really love board games. Reminds me when i was a kid staying over at my grannys on a sat nite and we always got out the games. Cards, dominos, frustration. My kids do as well every year at christmas always get them a board game as a joint family gift. Last year was Lancashire Monopoly.

Re: Old Games ..Monopoly....Scrabble...etc
Has anyone got any old Scrabble boards that they wouldn't mind donating to the event have you? I'll come and collect.
Also, any old jigsaws that you're clearing out would be gratefully appreciated.
Please pm me, thanks.

Re: Old Games ..Monopoly....Scrabble...etc
I remember playing Risk - worse than Monopoly for leading to marriage breakdowns! Still enjoy board games - I have a flypaper memory so Trivial Pursuit is always good.
Anyone remember a card game called "Stop the Cab"? I used to play it with my mother and my best friend Barbara, but no-one else seems to have heard of it.

Re: Old Games ..Monopoly....Scrabble...etc
i love monopoly but no one seem's to want to play it with me possibly cuz were all rushing around all the time
and it can get very confusing when you putting mortgages on roads and then trading
modern games such as Mahjongg are really good to
does any one play Mahjongg or has ever played it, what did you think of it?

Mahjongg is hardly modern, it dates back to about the 14th century in China!
It is a fascinating game, and very addictive.
