Mum had a frog in her throat this morning and told me that her mum always used to call it "Old woman's wattle" - new one to me

Wattle is the term for a 'turkey neck' which is age related.
There are also changes to the vocal chords due to ageing.

In a similar vein.....Face like a busted custard, face like a melted welly, face like a bulldog chewing a wasp, face like a slapped bum(that one is cleaned up for a family forum) face like a hens bum on a frosty morning, face like a bulldog licking pee off a thistle.......I'm sure there are more, but I am having a bit of a grey moment here.
