Re: Online supermarkets

I know a few people who shop on line at ASDA and also know a few that shop online at Tesco, but only because ASDA doesn't deliver to their address. Both seem to be ok from comments I have heard. Best is to try and stick with the one you find best.

Re: Online supermarkets

I used to shop online with Tesco and Asda. The one thing that really annoyed me was the fact that they substituted some items. you must state that you dont want substitutes if the product you have chosen is not available. A lot of people say they dont like shopping on-line because they think they are given products/produce which might not be as fresh as picking them yourself..It is convenient though and if i remember you can pick your delivery time which is great. good Luck

I always used Tesco.com when I lived in England. I used to order every two weeks so that the five quid delivery charge didn't feel too bad. The measures were a bit of a problem at first.........'im indoors still chuckles about the gigantic tub of marg we had delivered!

Wish they delivered here.....pork pies, cream cakes, what a lovely thought!

I shop online with Sainsburys and they are excellent. I usually only order when I want large amounts, the store is 5 miles away and if I don't need much I go there. I have tried both Asda and Tesco but they weren't as good.

Re: Online supermarkets

I've used Tesco.com quite a few times, and I had a few teething problems with the weights of the food too. It never bothered me if they substituted some items - the driver always tells you when delivering & I think you can refuse if you wish (not sure as I always accepted). The meat and veg wasn't the best - but it never really is from a supermarket.

I don't really bother with it now - as I always forgot something I needed and ended up at Asda a couple of days later!
