Post Oranges are not the only Fruit.

Just reading this book for the first time by ex Accringtonian, Jeanette Winterson. It was dramatised and filmed in Accy. But anyone know any other plays or films that were filmed in Accrington and the surrounding area?

Oranges was an excellent series, wish they would repeat it.

Juliet Bravo was filmed in Lancashire, with lots of scenes done in Accrington & the surrounding area.

Parts of Hettie Wainthrop also.

A TV film called The Nature of the Beast,
Also a fairly recent TV film about a girl leaving home - can't remember what it was called, was filmed in Accrington, Burnley, etc.

Tons of stuff done round here over the years, it's just bringing them to mind.

Yeh I remember "Nature of the Beast!" bit like Kes without the Kes, instead there was a mythical "Big cat" that roamed the backs of Fern Gore. I think Jeanette Winterson said "Accrington Stinks!" lol... ???

The Preston Front - a fictional series about the lives and loves of TA members. I remember one particular scene was done by the War Memorial in Ossy.

Parts of Oranges may have been shot in Burnley, but some were shot in Accy, Jason. That's the town the story's about after all.

Parts of Juliet Bravo were filmed in several towns in East lancs including Accy.

It must have been the way you worded your reply then.
It made it look like as if I was wrong if you check.
