Re: Phantom bellringer - anyone else got one?

The exterior door bell which was the problem, has, by now, been set on all the 4 frequencies available and is still phantom ringing but much less often.

The doorbell on my front door on the landing has now started doing the same

It is all well and good saying 'unplug when you go to sleep' -
I sleep 10 hours a day total- in 3 or 4 spells
Since a chunk of this sleep is in daylight hours I need to be roused for callers and deliveries.

The solution would be a mains operated doorbell, but as a tenant I would need to get permission to lay wiring in the communal stairwell.

I have heard that some flats on the estate lower down the hill have a proper door entry system.

Any of you in HH property got them?
Did you have to ask for them? or were they just supplied?

Haven't heard of any like that Margaret, but you could find out by ringing HH and ask for Dave Parry, he should know
