I remember way back when, flying back on an R&R flight on a Shorts 360 from NI Belfast harbour airport to Liverpool Speke airport (now Liverpool John Lennon). It was a morning flight & we stopped over at the I.o.M. to refuel. We also picked up a shed load of Manx Kippers, these were then handed out as our breakfast in flight meal with the rest destined for UK distribution.


Needless to say, the aircraft was definitely a little fragrant & there really wasn't any way you could open a window/door & let some fresh air in.

That would have been a nightmare for me.
I once asked to sit at a different breakfast table to my husband....we were on holiday and he had chosen kippers.
I was moved to the garden room to enjoy my breakfast.
