I live in the country near Blackpool, but home is where the heart is. I feel sure that you will find a welcome in Accrington.To know Accrington is to know Lancashire - t'folk are awreyt.

Interesting to hear K-P talk abour 'eawr Peg'.Preston is the only place I know where this phrase/term is used. it means " t' wife/my sister /my girlfriend".

Haha, my husband works with a fella in his 50s from Clayton who calls his wife eawr Peg.

When he first started working with him I'd never heard this saying and thought for quite some time that his wife really was called Peg.

I worked with a guy at Shopfitters in the 70s who came from Longridge and he used that saying, used to say hows eawe Peg these days
