Re: Power cut in Ossy
If it goes again, we should storm the Civic Theatre, and seek refuge.
I've printed off some Vera Lynn songs, and have a spare gas mask if anyone needs it.

And that is unusual for you because?
It was fun at the Area Council Meeting which was help in Rhyddings school. I would have thought the school would have emergency lighting. Is was a black as the ace of spades in their drama room or whatever the one with the tiered seating is called. On the bright side I did manage to acquire a pocket full of biscuits while the light were out

That sounds like a good idea.
I would love to come and sing the hits from the blitz with you.

What did you, Peter Britcliffe, and Gayle, get up to in the dark, when the lights went off at the end of the meeting?
I hope none of you are bringing a sexual assault case, against either, or both, of the other.

Hey, don't knock that Garinda !.. remember was doing 'Pyjama Game' at the Civic Theatre during the 4 hour power cuts .. 'course went during our show didn't it .. had to keep the audience entertained with 'Songs From The Shows' 'til they came back on .. just during my striptease number too (in the best possible taste of course) ...
Couple of power surges in Clayton .. nothing else. Word of warning .. listened to the dangers of t-lights in a programme the other day. Without going into detail of the tragidies that ensued ... THEY HAVE TO BE PUT IN A PROPER CANDLE HOLDER/NOT MEANT TO STAND ON THEIR OWN IN THAT TIN FOIL CONTAINER . BURNS THROUGH .. BEWARE

Re: Power cut in Ossy
No, sadly, no cases to be brought.
Although Neil did spend a lot of time watching my rear whilst the lights were on!

Re: Power cut in Ossy
Being a gentleman I offered Gayle a lift home but she declined.
Don't worry she would have been perfectly safe, as mentioned at the meeting the picnic area of Haslingdon old road is closed and will not reopen
I even phoned her to make sure she got home ok and see if she needed anything, like I did with you.

What do you mean sadly?
You have stopped winking at me so I gave you your front door key back.
As far as watching you backside you were stood in front of me giving your presentation. As mentioned before I am a gentleman so I did not look, beside that it was dark where I was sat for some reason, maybe I was sat in a shadow

Thanks, Katex. I didn't know that. I just put mine out as they came, in the tinfoil thing. Good job they weren't lit long. I didn't know they burnt through!

I have seen people put them in a shallow dish of water so they don't damage anything.
