You could go for photochromic lenses and then they'd be OK in whatever conditions you are in.

i took my last pair of ordinary perscription glasses into specsavers & they tinted them brown for me for £12.... perscription sunglasses & i can still shop with them on .

Genuine sunglasses protect your eyes from UV light as well. It would be worth checking that shillelagh.

Ended up doing that Mez. Did look around and also on net but couldn't get any in my price bracket. Didn't want to pay alot because they're only for reading whilst sat out in sunny weather.
