Re: Prom dress

Why don't you try the dress agency in Oswaldtwistle, think it's called Louise's. Excellent designer dresses at really reduced prices.

I agree with Gayle they do get some excellent dresses in, they had some lovely ones in the window this evening when I drove past. They also do alterations and don't charge the earth for them.

Yes hun it is, it's just past the gun shop. Ask your Dad for directions!

On the otherside of the road just after the Foxhill pub, is a shop run by two girls. They make made to measure overalls for beauticians etc. They are very nice, and may be able to help you, as I think they also do dress making.

In answer to Neil, my haute couture days are behind me, thank God.

I went to a formal dinner do in August of last year, and the dress I bought was actually a bridesmaid dress. I bought it from Virgin Brides in Manchester.
It was/is absolutely stunning.

Re: Prom dress

Mimi went to her first formal dance last year and wore the dress she'd worn as a bridesmaid at our wedding. She looked lovely. Bridesmaid dresses make excellent ball gowns.

'Course there's Debenhams which do long dresses all the year around in their Designer section. Some very sexy too .. not all frumpy and aimed at the middle aged; had one or two myself from there... cough, cough.
Mentioned Afflecks palace in Manchester before .. some of their long dresses are a little 'different' and dark, but I thought really quite stunning and you would stand out in the crowd.
