Incidentally, I wouldn't have minded having some cops around when I walked into a pitched battle in the Pickwick after a Boxing Day derby in 1976 and promptly got lamped in the face by a Rovers fan who obviously mistook me for a Claret. I didn't know what to be more indignant about - getting punched or being mistaken for a Burnley fan!

A punch only hurts for a short while Wynonie, but being classed as a Dingle is a stigma hard to get rid of
