I only wish I was suffering from it, I'd far rather have had him here, under my feet. I'm not sure he would ever have retired, fully, because taking computers to bits and mending/reconfiguring them was his hobby as well as his job. He was always DIYing too and never stopped "improving" the place - and where the hell is he now I need a new bathroom suite installed and the kitchen ceiling renewing?
 Don't knock it, ladies, if your man reaches retirement. Make the most of it, even if he drives you mad at times.
