I've just contacted the rossonline admin for an explanaton, and requested he pm me with the reason why you can't join.
Rossonline went into decline after last years breakdown which lasted for as week, a lot of their members lost interest.
Don't worry about upsetting Mick, he gets that way from having to keep less in ale.

the new members registration was turned off because the spammers hit rossy online ...

You have to keep on top of these spammers all the time
every morning I get an e-mail for everyone that try's to register
I then check there account (there are way's to do this ) and if they are only joining to spam the site they get banned BEFORE they get a chance to upset the site and its members.
this morning I banned 9
Members also report spam that gets through this check and other mods are there to help keep the site running smoothly
spammers are a big problem but I think we do a good job of keeping it to a minimum on Accyweb

It's very rare we see any Russian spammers on here, but they turn up on other websites, AccyWeb is the best run local site I know thanks to the work that Mick and the other mods do, many thanks you guys and gal
