Short Measure
I was watching a program this morning and they were on about trading standards going round pubs checking customers weren't getting short measurements at the pumps, well knowing that there are a plethora of beer connoisseurs frequent the site I was wondering what you call short measure. Me I always liked a decent head on my pint about 3 eighths from the top of the glass and liked it to stay right down to the bottom when ready to refill how do you like your poison served ?

Re: Short Measure
Come now Jay, surely you mean 9.5mm - personally I would go for 12.5mm, but does the diameter of the glass - barrel v. straight glass have any bearing?:-)

Re: Short Measure
Beer to the line, then get 'em to put a head on it, bonus!

Like you I wish for the wonder pint, 3/8 of an inch or as we, the members of the EU like to call it, 0.9525 centimetres and for it to stay that way, nothing more disappointing than real life though is there?.

Try the Read Con, John.
The pint mug glasses have a line at the pint level and they serve real ale from the pump in them if that's your choice, a nice head on top to finish it off.
