We decided on an electric shower rather than the mixer types - surprisingly are much dearer than some leccy types
An electric shower will probably cost more money to run than one that uses hot water from your boiler ( check that out though as I have been known to talk rubbish )

I would think thats correct. Although as WestEnder says it's also handy if something goes wrong with the combi, have you ever tried having a bath with a kettle full of water
