signwriting

I did this almost 50years ago at night school. have lost all my note's would like to have a go again as an hobby. need a refresher. most note's came from modern painter & decorator vol 1 I have 2 & 3 not 4. first published 1927 again in 1948. what I need is lettering. numbers. spacings. italics roman etc. would be thrilled if anyone came up with anything. it's a long shot i know but here's me waiting. ray.

Have you tried Accy library. There is also your own computer there are hundreds of fonts in there.

Theres a bloke who drinks round the Baxenden pubs called Martin ( Well known in all of them) who does this for a living. I'd bet for a couple of pints he'd spill all you want.

Unfortunately he seems to do the rounds of all the pubs in turn so I'm not sure which is his current place of choice. I seem to recall his place of work is somewhere near Ossy Mills.

I know Topaz in Church, next to railway bridge, only do greetings cards, etc.., they may have an idea about local signwriters, as deal in all types of 'type' ... 01254 356501
