Slides

I´ve been having a bit of a clear out and found a few boxes of photographic slides dating back to the seventies. They are mainly of my late husband and our children and my arm is still aching from holding them up to the light.

Is it possible to have them turned into photos?

Re: Slides

forgive me if i'm wrong June but arent slides only negatives anyway?

i'm sure it would be possible if you took them down to a photo shop, we have Garth Dawsons over here for things like that, but i wouldnt know where to start over your way

good luck with them anyway and i hope you get them sorted xx

Re: Slides

Yes you can.
you can get an adapter for most scanners that will take slides so you could do them yourself or most photo shops will print them for you.

slides are not negatives on a negative colours or black and white are reversed on slides they are not.

Re: Slides

You can do them yourself with reasonably priced scanner. I have this one which I picked up for about £45.

Disclaimer, I don't have any slides to scan and I haven't tried negatives yet, but it is an excellent scanner for photos and producing pdf's
