Small lumps on one of my fingers

I woke up today an noticed about 8-10 small (non painful, internal) lumps on one of my fingers (index finger).
Does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them?
I get them from time to time, it's never any of my other fingers just my index finger

I googled it but, as usual with a medical search it can be anything from a cold to HIV

What kind of lumps are they......and what size?
Are they itchy.....are they like grains of rice? Are they like little bubbles?
If they are then you might have Cheiropompholyx.....a kind of eczema...can be triggered by stress or by an allergen.
I have just looked for some pics of this condition, but they are not very good.

I think that if they are hard lumps(even if they are not painful) you should make an appointment to see your GP.

They are little small bubbles that don't itch, you'd hardly notice them really.
I googled chpomlyx and found this pic (poor really though, you can't see anything) image.jpg.
I have been rather stressed of late, Anyway the lumps are gone now.
Think I'll wait to see if it surfaces again before seeing GP.

Thanks M

Re: Small lumps on one of my fingers

If it is c.pompholyx, then usually where they have been gets like a patch of dry skin.
Get some E45 cream. If this doesn't help, then get some 1% hydrocortisone cream.
You can also get this on your feet....if it is on your feet it is just called pompholyx.

I know.....I am a mine of useless information.

I wouldn't deem any of your medical knowledge as "useless info" M.

It's strange how it comes and goes at certain times of the year an disappears in no time, without treatment.
I wouldn't say the area was effected by "dry skin" either, however I've got some E45 cream off a friend who suffers from eczema just in case.

Thanks again

Re: Small lumps on one of my fingers

I get both pompholyx and cheiropompholyx.......but mine does not go down as quickly as yours has. It usually lingers for about a week.....this is when it gets dry and itchy.
It drives me nuts at bedtime. When it is bad I resort to portion.....the other antihistamines do not seem to work anywhere near as well for me.....except I do not buy branded Piriton....I buy the generic version Chlorphenamine. Now not all generic versions of meds work well for me, but this one does.
