Have the Old Jamaica etc., but drink the whisky straight, on the side. Spit (preferably your own) is the only mix for bourbon. Mixing it, ruins it. Lynchburg lemonade sucks ... but it does sparkle
And this water fad? I just don't get it Like W. C. Fields, I don't drink water. Fish [f-bomb] in it.

I stand corrected - you can tell I've been out of circulation for a while!
Think I'll stick to Old Jamaica but the market's certainly moved on...

Re: sparkling water
Dave, I am on tablets for acid reflux, I usually rely on peppermint tea to sort my tummy out when I'm at home, but when I'm out I just buy a bottle of sparkling water, does the same job, before I was on the tablets (omeprazole) I used to take a lot of 'Andrews'

I take 20mg morning and night plus the peppermint tabs Shaz. I also take Movicol too which helps no end with keeping my guts right, never had an ounce of trouble since coming out of hospital and my stomach was one of the reasons for being admitted in the first place.

Re: sparkling water
Aldi's water is lovely-as good as brands that are twice the price!
I guzzle gallons of fizzy water-I've heard it linked to osteoporosis, tooth decay and other evils but struggle to believe it's proven or worth even thinking about..
If we heeded all the things that are supposedly detrimental to our health we'd all be off our rockers before long (or anorexic). I don't think you should worry especially if you're drinking it to counteract feeling sickly and it's working for you

Re: sparkling water
I'm already off my rocker so drinking fizzy water won't change anything

Re: sparkling water
I find soda water to be a very good hangover cure and a very good tummy settler if you aren't hung over but feel a bit dodgy, I don't know why because I don't know what it contains!
