sportslife gym

hi just wondering if anyone uses the gym near to the globe centre - or have you heard any reviews about it - i popped in today and they seemed pretty friendly - not the usual intimidating scene ( you know where you go in get all embarrassed and excuse yourself saying you thought they were a chipshop )

thanks

Yes it is a nice gym its not your spit and sawdust gym. Sauna etc. it is a very good gym and if your not joining monthly its £5.00 a time.

Re: sportslife gym

could you please provide any info re opening times and monthly charge for Sportslife. Currently a member of the evolution scheme ( £33.00 per month ) run at Hyndburn sports centre. However on the one of the few times in the week I can get there ( midday Saturday ) it seems children are allowed in and most the equipment is in use. Also they seem so ill supervised so that if they aren't setting the treadmills to full speed to see how long they can stay on before being flung off they are using the weight machines without a care and always appear in grave danger of being badly hurt. Well with that and the grotty smelly changing rooms I'm looking for some place else to try so any recommendations and info most welcome

Re: sportslife gym

It's actually called Enjoy Fitness now, I pay under 30 a month inclusive of all sauna's and classes
I'd give em a ring, they would ask you to go in for a good look round and everything is explained there
They don't put pressure on for ya to join
Really nice people that go and really nice people that supervise
They got loads of new equipment
They all have tv screens on each cv machine
Also the machines accomodate for mp3's, radios
There number is 01254 391999

Re: sportslife gym

exactly. i wudnt mind paying a 5 but then payin 30 a month is too much commitment - i have a advanced gym system at home i have a top of the range treadmill at home and i've got more loose weights than u can shake a stick at and the only thing i'd want to use is the sauna. not worth £30 a month for just that!
