Tailored Shirt

Hi any recommendations on a local tailor ? I am in need of a white shirt for a wedding but my neck is 2 sizes too big for my chest - looked online and the M&S made-to-measure service is coming in at £45, which is a bit on the steep side.

Re: Tailored Shirt

Try the wedding people in Church. They are very reasonable I think! xx

I don't think £45 is too steep for a tailor made shirt, you can spend more than that for one off the peg. I said you could but maybe you wouldn't, I don't nowadays cos at my age I may not get the use out of them.
All the decent tailors around Accrington have long gone.
I had a few clothes made a while ago by a chap called Duncan McKnow (or similar) and an Italian chap up Meadow street called Guiseppe who retired and sold his shop.

£45 aint that steep for a made to measure shirt,
I used to get mine from a little shop in glasgow a few years ago and it was far more than that..but back then I also used to buy katherine hamnet shirts for crazy money (back in my single days!) - you get what you pay for at the end of the day and from m&s it will be cotton rich and double stitched so well worth it..
if it feels good on then it will look good on..

Re: Tailored Shirt

May be a fair price but just out of my range, going to go for getting an off the shelf that doesn't fit and getting it altered. Off to boundary tomorrow, thanks for the suggestions
