the queens pub in church kirk

dr joseph was talking to me about the queens, which im sure most of you know he has bought and is turning into his surgery, he asked has it always been a pub, i said i thought it had but i would ask on here to see if that can be confirmed, it was built in 1902 btw

It was originally Judges Chambers =place for them to stay when presiding at the courthouse near the clock(now gone)

Don't confuse matters, Margaret - the courthouse has now gone. The clock is still there.

only 4 or 5 years ago it was a private dwelling for someone involed with the church up the lane

Yea I know about the Queens cinema Margaret, but I seem to recall the pub being turned into one for a short time, seem to remember an old mate of mine a semi or maybe even pro snooker player called Glen Johnson from Burnley doing an exhibition there, it was part of a chain of snooker halls owned by the chap that Glen worked for, but I could be wrong
