Exclamation They didnt mention that in the ingredients.

Me and my girlfriend purchased 2 packets of "batchelors super noodles" from the spar petrol station on burnley road, we took them home with the intention of having them as a snack before bed. When we got round to making them i put one of the flavour pouches in the pan when my girlfriend added hers to the pan she was in for a shock as a spider jumped out of the flavour pouch and ran round in the pan. Whats the best way to make a complaint about this? Take them back to the spar or contact the company direct? Also anybody else had similar problems? I have a photo of the spider in the pan as proof. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: They didnt mention that in the ingredients.

I would do both, you can e-mail the company and take the packets back to the shop. No harm in doing both.

Do the noodles still need to be in the packet though? As soon as id took the photo i chucked the contents of the pan in the bin (im a big sissy when it comes to spiders lol).

If you go to page two General Chat there is a thread "Customer Services" one of the members complained about a meal she got at Iceland.

Re: They didnt mention that in the ingredients.

I'd start with the shop as your purchase contract thingy is with them. If you get no joy there then contact the manufacturer.

Re: They didnt mention that in the ingredients.

I would certainly complain to both the store and the manufacturer but I fail to see why someone would buy Supernoodles in the first place........Even without the spider they're carp..

I was once unlucky enough to purchase a pasta meal from Asda that when I stuck my fork in out came a condom! My first telephone call was to enviromental health, an inspector came out and took it for testing. It turned out that the company who made the meals for Asda, had a disgruntled member of staff, fortunately for me it came out with the first forkful and I hadn't eaten any, also the testing proved it was unused.

The spider is probably part of the ingredients, this time it did not get mashed up properly.

I do find it hard to believe it survived all the time from manufacture to you opening the sealed bag. There can't be much oxygen in one of those little bags.

That spider would have eaten all the other nasty creepy crawlies that live in the cracks in your house! Spiders are our friends.

Speedy, don't forget to make the obligatory phone call to the Observer. You can be pictured at home with a caption that calls you 'disgruntled' and vows you will never set foot in the spar again.

Maybe they will want to interview you the following week and ask you who you would like to be stuck in a lift with and what was the last film you watched like they did with the woman who found a caterpillar in her corn. Lol
