Smile Travel Lodge

I am looking for a Travel Lodge or similar within 5 or so miles of Accy. Not your normal B&B but a place just to rest your head no matter what time of the night you get there......

Any ideas please?

Is there not one near Ewood Park at the pub "Fernhurst" or there is one at Burnley on roundabout, near VW garage

Do you mean J4, the Darwin exit? I can't remember seeing one there but will check over the weekend, thanks K.S.H.

Re: Travel Lodge

Thank you all, plenty of choice in Blackburn, but if anyone knows of one in Accy??
Blackburn will be close enough, I don't have to pay the taxi fare....

Just had a thought, try the Globe Centre, there is a residential section with bedrooms attached to Accy Catering College based in the Globe Centre

Hi Busman

Wendy's B&B on Whalley Road in Accy has a good reputation.

Re: Travel Lodge

It's actually a Travel Lodge rather than a B&B we were looking for but is Wendy's still in operation? I saw it was for sale some weeks ago.

I always used to recommend it to anyone as a B&B if they were visiting Accy.

Re: Travel Lodge

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. Burnley and Blackburn are both just 6 miles from J7..But the best yet seems to be the Globe Centre at £42-50 for a double room and breakfast (continental at weekends)

I will go round and inspect the room tomorrow and let you all know my thoughts on it for future reference.....

The rooms are as good as you would find in any travel lodge. and it's central to Accy.
Enjoy
