For quite a few years I have needed glasses for reading, but something rather strange has happened since I came out of hospital in early December, I can read without my glasses in fact its had work reading with them, as is using the laptop. Has this ever happened to any one else

The opposite for me Jaysay, went to the opticians 12 months ago as I couldnt see small writing in dim light, came out 20 minutes later with glasses, apparently I can see for miles, but cant see what is under my nose!

Did anyone with special powers lay their healing hands on you, when they popped round with a card, and a few nuts for your stocking?

Since I began to take nutrition seriously 18 months ago, I no longer use my hearing aid, and the eye test I had 6 months ago showed 'no change' in prescription(for past 6 years)
I think all senses are improved by good nutrition.
but a good sense of smell can be a burden at times

Very strange Jaysay .. but why question it .. just good stuff eh ?

As you will know ... most people need reading glasses as they age due to the weakening of the muscles. There are theories that if you keep them exercised, then you may never need them.

In your case, I suspect they have been getting plenty of working out due to you raising your eyes with some of the comments on here ...

Or perhaps tears of joy are healing?

Perhaps it's a similar thing to the old adage, 'A lamp shines brightest just before it's end'?
Seriously though, I hope this is just the beginning of an improvement for you Jay.

Thanks Less now I'm waiting for an improvement in the old chest, but somehow I don't think I'll be running for the bus anytime soon

Re: very strange

Just couldn't resist that one ... by the way (and this is a wander, not worth a thread of its own) our tories, who are as bad as yours, but with accents, have just prorogued parliament until March ... for the first time in our history, that's twice in one calendar year. They claim that it is because of the Vancouver Olympics But those of us who think about it know that it is because they were getting too much heat in parliamentary commitees about the handing over of Afghani detainees to the Afghanis, who can then play with them in one of their nice jails; about safety issues at the Chalk River Nuclear plant, which produces isotopes for medical use; about the misdeeds of the RCMP and the Military Police. With parliament out, these committees are effectively silenced. Also, Harper can now fill five Senate vacancies with his right-wing buddies. Damn, these tories are jerks. What really pees me off about them, is that their bottom line is: "Screw democracy."
