Switched off and given a break, on being restarted it will then come to the party and perform like a trouper. This is usually after I have threatened to throw it and given it a few kicks at the risk of breaking a toe or two.

I decide I will have to replace it but then it goes well so I change my mind – that is until it has the sulks again. It has become a battle between woman and machine and this woman does not like to be beaten – when I win I savour the victory as I hang out the spoils.

In the meantime I find myself talking to a bleeding machine……
There is nothing unusual in talking to machines. I do it all the time Dotti.

The time to REALLY get worried is if you find that they answer you back!
If that happens, then you need serious help

Now that the River Stink has been all cleaned up, send the old lady ... and the laundry of course ... down to the river. All that exercise will keep her in shape for some serious housework. Admittedly, it will kill off most of the fish and drive the rest away; but soon the old Stink will be back to that un-pristine state we knew and loved when we were nippers.

No Mick....I'm not buying it. Who on earth would want their washer playing music to them.......all I want mine to do is....the washing.
Mine beeps when the cycle is finsihed, but I amususally there hovering waiting for the time lapse on the door so that i can get the clean stuff out.

Easy troubleshooting The Smart Check automatic error-monitoring system detects and diagnoses problems and provides easy troubleshooting solutions using a smartphone App*. So it saves you time and avoids the cost and inconvenience of unnecessary engineer callouts! Available on iPhones and Android devices.
Don't you just love it?

Easy trouble shooting, if I'd paid that much for a washer I would expect a lifetime of trouble free use.

Are they trying to say their machine is unreliable?

Take control anywhereanywhere Smart Control lets you remotely control and monitor your washing from anywhere using a smartphone App. You can instantly start or pause it and monitor cycle selections, remaining time and finishing alerts. Available on iPhones and Android devices.
As for starting it from anywhere, why? Once I've filled it I would find that to be the most convenient time to press the start button, not wait until I'm somewhere else.

Unless It gives you the added thrill of not knowing if it's started until you get home?

Re: Washing machine dilemma

yes as surprises go, finding that your washer has decided to ignore you doesn't cut it for me.
As for controlling things from my phone....No, I don't want to do that. All I want my phone to do is make calls and very occasionally text.......I do not have a smart phone......I do not want a smart phone...well not unless it can do the hoovering, the washing, the ironing, the shopping and put it all away once done.
When they bring one out that does all that I will be ........DEAD!
